It is all organic, flexible and transparent with an extremely low energy requirement, while it has an almost unlimited viewing angle and high efficiency.

"There are practically no display size limitations and they could be produced relatively easily and cheaply compared to today's screens."

This is the future folks. Portability, flexibility and cost effective.

I can't wait to get mine.

Fantasy is becoming reality.

Go check out the movie "Minority Report" if you do not understand. Also check out the electronic papers used in that movie because those are coming as well.
Bill Gates Says Microsoft Is Pushing Touchscreen and Speech Technology to Replace Keyboards

This is where technology will pass me by. I do not like talking to my computer. There is something about typing that I still like, privacy being one. As far as a touch screen, count me out there as well. I have fat fingers and lets just say I am filled with the juices of life, otherwise known as naturally oily skin. Any kind of touch screen becomes a mess for me. Plus, if the screen is shared, it is a great way to spread disease, but I guess a keyboard would be the same. I just don't share.

Let our enemies shudder.

The Satellite was downed on the first try. Score one for the good guys.

14th-Jan-2008 09:46 am - A New Reader [technology]
I have been using Great News to read my RSS content for about 3 years now. I cannot say enough about how it has changed the way I look at the web and get my information. Great News is a desktop client. I have used Bloglines and Google Reader in the past, but I like the ability to download the articles, which makes the whole experience much faster for me. I have used web readers like Bloglines and Google Reader, which are both good for what they do and I use them in a pinch. Recently, I discovered that FeedDemon by Newsgator was now free. I have given it a try and cannot be more pleased. First of all, you can share your content between the desktop client, the online reader and the mobile reader. They all sync up, which is awesome. The interface is easy to use and the newspaper styles that I have grown used to with Great News is available here as well and easy to read. I cannot stress enough how valuable it is to have the content that you want to see come to you in an easy to read and simple format. I get what I want, when I want and how I want to see it. If you have not tried FeedDemon yet, give it a go as I think you will not be disappointed.

This is very cool!

A nice diversion from all the horrific news the past few days.
If you have not heard this story yet, James Kim is an editor at CNET and I remember him as a regular on Tech TV. Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, he and his family came up missing. The good news is that his wife and two children have been found, but James set out to find help three days ago and is still missing. This is truly an Internet story that I have been following through various blogs that I subscribe to.

In an update today, there is speculation that the Kim family may have become lost due to an online mapping service. It seems the road they became stranded on is widely used in the summer, but is extremely treacherous in the winter. Many mapping services say this road is a preferred route.

I know a lot of these services say to do a reality check on the route given, but this time the reality check may have become fatal.

My prayers are with the Kim family as we all hope James will be found safe and sound.
14th-Sep-2006 09:09 am - The Bionic Woman [technology]

I saw this today in the Washington Post. "For 1st Woman With Bionic Arm, a New Life Is Within Reach"

This is great news for anyone who has lost a limb. The bionic limb will not totally replace your original, but it sure beats the alternative. My only worry is somewhere down the line this technology could be used by someone with enough financial resources that thinks this is better than the original. I know that sounds a lot like Science Fiction, but take a look at the picture again and use your imagination. Technology is wonderful, but we must be use it wisely.
